Alice M.
Thomasson
Aug 23, 1932 — Apr 2, 2025
Lexington, South Carolina
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet mother Alice Mae Andrews Thomasson,
on April 2, 2025 in Lexington, South Carolina. She was 92.
Alice Thomasson was born August 23, 1932, in Cleveland, OH to William and Lois Andrews.
She graduated from Shaw HS in Cleveland, Ohio. Alice married shortly after high school at 19 years of age
and went on to have eight children. Being a mom was her greatest joy in life! She was an avid reader, a great cook
and one of her greatest pleasures was to tend to her gardens and maintain a beautiful yard.
Alice never missed sending out greeting cards, which included sweet handwritten notes. She didn't miss a holiday or
event to show loved ones she was always thinking of them.
She was married to the love of her life, Gene Thomasson, for 38 years. Their love story was a true life fairytale!
Together, they loved to take many long road trips around the country to visit their children and grandchildren.
Cheering on all Cleveland sports teams was one of their favorite pastimes. Alice was such a classy lady
and the matriarch of our family. She will be deeply missed.
Alice is survived by her beloved children, Susan Henderson CO, Thomas White (Laura) CO, James White (Karen) ID,
Laurel Davis (Michael) SC, Christine Dawson (Michael) OH, Jennifer Thomasson (Mitchell) CO,
Daniel Thomasson (Stephanie) CA, Steve Thomasson (Linda) AZ, Janet Randazzo (Pete) OH
and Karen Chapman ,(Mark) deceased OH. As well as 27 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her infant son Timothy Allen, her parents, William and Lois Andrews,
her sister Maxine Hannum, and her beloved husband, Gene I Thomasson
She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Western Reserves Cemetery in Chesterland, Ohio
