Evelyn (Evy) June Davis (née Fatica), age 96, passed away peacefully in her home in Westlake, Ohio on July 10, 2026. Evelyn is survived by her loving children Linda (Peter) Apicella (née DiBenedict), Debra (Robert) Pomeroy (née DiBenedict), Terri (Mike Chipchak) Kibort (née Randall), and Randy Scott Randall, her 8 grandchildren Nicole, Nina, Jacob, David, John, Eric, Kimberly, and Nicholas, her 13 great grandchildren Taylor, Monica, Brett, Domenic, Sylvia, Olivia, Suzie, Rocky, Mason, Joshua, Dina, Alana, Leo, and4 great-great grandchildren Avery, Savannah, Archie and Nolan. Wife to Herb Davis, Lynn Randall, Roger DiBenedict and longtime partner John Howard (all deceased).

Born in the Collinwood district of Cleveland, Ohio to Grace (née Bongiovanni) and Felix Fatica, and sister to twin brothers John and Felix Fatica, Evelyn developed a passion for music at an early age. Her musical career began at just five years of age, when her grandmother gifted her a piano that Evelyn had cried over at the thought of it being sold. She went on to become an accomplished pianist, accompanying violinists and the John Howard Tucker Choir in the 1940's and the Richmond Heights Little Theater productions in the 1960s, At the age of 12, she learned to play the cello and performed with the Collinwood school orchestra. As a teenager, she performed as a professional cellist with the Cleveland Women's Orchestra and after raising her children played with the Euclid Civic Orchestra and the Suburban Symphony Orchestra in Beachwood in the 1980's. In her retirement, she performed in Florida with the Palm Beach Orchestra and  Palm Strings Quartet at Mar-a-Lago regularly. Evelyn has passed on her love and musical knowledge, teaching several students (adults and children) from her home in Boyton Beach Florida, Sagamore Hills Ohio and most recently to her great grandchildren Mason & Dina in her final home in Westlake Ohio. She considered "music remains the gift forever in her heart" as published in Extraordinary Women From An Ordinary Place by Barbara Miceli Pennington published in 2021.

Throughout her life, Evelyn demonstrated her love of interior design (reflected in all the homes lived in), fashion (always elegantly put together),hospitality (using her exceptional culinary and event planning skills) and the arts (notably as a patron of the Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Art Museum).Evelyn was also a small business entrepreneur, owning and operating several successful businesses throughout her lifetime, including a golf driving range, an interior decorating business, and a café in the Terminal Tower until her retirement in 1989.

Following her retirement, she dedicated her time to traveling throughout Canada, Europe, Eastern Europe, and Central America. Evelyn was known by all who knew her as a lovely, charming, intelligent, classy woman who was always in motion, taking charge, getting things done and never wasting time as she lived independently until the end of her beautiful, full life. Though her passing leaves us all with a massive hole in our lives, she has given us an abundance of love, amazing memories and wisdom to sustain us for more than a lifetime.~Life is like playing the cello. You might get a little out of tune, and sometimes a string snaps right in the middle of a solo. But a true maestro doesn't stop the concert—she just shifts her fingers and transposes the melody on the fly. She has been playing a masterpiece for 96 years. It's time to sit back, let the orchestra play the background music, and just enjoy the applause. Brava! Evelyn.
