JOANNE GONZALEZ (Ackley), age 80, passed away

January 29, 2022 peacefully at home in her sleep.  She was

born July 3, 1940 in Cleveland, OH to the late James and Hazel Ackley.

Born and raised in Cleveland she was a 1959 graduate

of Ursuline High School.  Joanne fought and beat breast cancer twice.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Raymond Gonzalez, daughter

Cynthia Cartellone (Gonzalez), son-in-law Dominic Cartellone and

granddaughter, Sophia Cartellone.  She is also survived by her brother,

Walter (Paulette) Ackley, sisters, Hazel Carrabine and Carol O'Donnell (James),

and several loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Thomas Ackley.

Joanne was an advertising executive for much of her career until she retired and took care

of her beloved Sophia (along with Raymond) during the work week.  She volunteered for

St. Paschal's Church for many years and was an avid animal lover.

Joanne touched the hearts of everyone she met.  She was kind and beautiful; inside and out.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Joanne's name.

The family will receive friends at THE VITANTONIO-PREVITE FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD.,

LYNDHURST (EAST OF RICMOND RD.) SATURDAY FEBRUARY 5, 11:00AM till 1:30PM.
