Obituary

Joseph C. Previte , 88 passed peacefully on August 11, 2017 at his home.


Loving father of Roseanne Greggor (Tom, deceased), John (Cindy), Patricia Bebo


and Lisa Mansour (Dave). Beloved grandfather of Ben (Maria), Jack (Natalie) Greggor,


Brendan (Lauren), Jordan and Alex Previte, Alicia and Max Mansour. Great grandfather


of Donovan and Tate Greggor, and Hudson Previte. Beloved son of Sarah and Nicholas Previte


(both deceased), dear brother of John (deceased) (Virginia), Lawrence (Anne) and Peter.


uncle to many loving nieces and nephews.


Joe, a 1947 graduate from Collinwood High School, was born in Murray Hill and moved to


Collinwood as a youth. He married in 1950 and subsequently built a home for his growing family.


He was a tool and die maker by trade and owned Previte Tool and Die on East 163th Street for many years.


He lost the love of his life Rose far too early in 1976. Joe embraced life after loss, spending winters in Florida,


making many friends, remaining physically and socially active playing tennis, golf, fishing, and walking.


He continued playing cards, bocce, and bowling until his stroke in February. Joe was a parishioner of


Holy Redeemer Church in Collinwood, was active in the Collinwood Memories social club and was celebrated


as a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus Gilmour Council #310. He remained lifelong friends


with members of the Casual Club, playing cards and socializing.


The family would like to thank all the friends that sent cards of good wishes and prayers, his many


caregivers over the last months and especially the staff of the Hospice of the Western Reserve who


made his final days comfortable at his home.


Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Wednesday August 16, at Holy Redeemer Church, Interment


All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends at THE VITANTONIO-PREVITE FUNERAL HOME


5236 MAYFIELD RD. (EAST OF RICHMOND RD.) TUESDAY 2-4 and 6-8PM.
