Michael "Mickey" Anthony Iliano died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 10, 2025.
He was 68 years old. Beloved Husband to Colleen (née Donohoe) of 43 years; Devoted Father to Michael, Lauren Jamieson (Ricky)
and Kalie Corrao (Justin). Proud Pop to his three grandchildren, Penelope, Emme & Audrey Jamieson.
Brother of Anthony (Carolyn) & Joseph (Lori) Iliano. Brother-in-law of Marybeth McDonough, John (Eileen) and
Michael (Kim) Donohoe. Favorite Uncle to Matthew McDonough, Madeleine and Josie Donohoe,
Anthony and Nick Iliano, and Mairen, Ian and Ava Donohoe. Great Uncle to Liam. Loyal Friend, Colleague & Coach to many.
Mickey was proceeded in death by his Parents Anthony & Christina (nee Conti) and his In-laws John & Margaret Donohoe.
Mickey was born on May 10th, 1957 and grew up in Collinwood. A proud Italian and devout Buckeye fan,
Mickey attended Holy Redeemer and Collinwood High School before attending the University of Dubuque (IA)
where he played football and baseball.
Mickey impacted countless lives on the football field. His coaching career spanned 35+ years at
Case Western Reserve University, John Carroll University, University School and Beachwood High School.
His time spent with his fellow coaches and players was always cherished. Mickey worked for the City of Cleveland's
Building Department for 40 years. A loyal colleague, he cared for those he worked with and had time for everyone.
Above all else, Mickey loved his family and friends. He was always there when you needed him and valued
his time with those he loved. His greatest joy was being a grandpa, and he was the best Pop
his granddaughters could ever ask for. The family asks that donations be made in Mickey's honor to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Saturday August 16, at Holy Redeemer Church, 15712 Kipling Ave., Cleveland
(PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH), Interment All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends at
