THOMAS W. FATH, age 86, beloved husband of Mary Ellen (nee Keegan); loving father of Sue Galloway (Bob), Katie Quinlan (Mike), Terri Lindberg (Paul) and Jim (Meghan); devoted grandfather of Mike (Morgan), Kasey, Dana, Arden, Brendan and Sutton; dear brother of the late Mary Ellen Howarth; preceded in death by his parents, Colette and Louis Fath.

Tom was a man who never met a stranger and had a natural way of making everyone around him feel welcome. Known affectionately as “the Charmer,” his warm personality, quick wit and ability to strike up a conversation served him well throughout his life, both personally and professionally. He spent many years in wine sales, where his charm and love of people made him a natural at his work, and later drove a school bus for the Mayfield City School District, where he became a familiar and friendly face to generations of students.

Tom had a lifelong passion for golf, a game he truly loved and enjoyed sharing with family and friends. Whether he was out on the course or simply telling a story, Tom had a way of bringing people together. Above all, he cherished his family and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. His presence, humor, stories and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am Saturday, August 22, at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Rd., Highland Heights, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Arrangements by Vitantonio-Previte Funeral Home.

The family also invites friends and loved ones to join them for a Celebration of Life in Tom’s honor on Friday, August 21, from 7:00–10:00 pm at The Mill Tavern, 5547 Wilson Mills Rd., Cleveland, OH 44143. This will be an evening to share stories, raise a glass, and celebrate the life of a truly special man.
