Emil Cornachione, beloved son of the late Nicholas and Josephine. Since 1922 Emil loved walking
the streets of Little Italy.Speaking with merchants, eating at the many fine restaurants and just being
with friends from Holy Rosary Church. Emil loved visiting the museums at University Circle and was an
avid admirer of architecture. He was devoted to family especially his mother Josephine and his brother Mike,
both of whom he cared for until their passing. Emil's only time away from Cleveland and Little Italy was
during WWII when he was with the 104th Infantry Division in the European campaign. Emil's division
saw almost 200 days of fighting in northwestern Europe as it fought through France, Belgium,
and western Germany, fighting back several fierce German counterattacks as it advanced through
the theater throughout late 1944 and 1945. This was the only combat duty that the 104th Infantry Division
has served during its history. While in service to his country Emil was awarded two Bronze Stars for his efforts
in the liberation of France. After exactly 31 years Emil is now eternally reunited with his brothers, Mike, John
and Jack (Phyllis). Emil never married but he was surrounded in love by a large family of nephews and nieces,
including Rich, Jack, Kim, Lisa, Kevin ( deceased ), Jo and Janet as well as 12 great nieces and nephews,
