JEFFREY DOUGLAS TINSLEY, of Chagrin Falls, OH, passed away on January 12, 2019. 

He was born on March 28, 1970 in Kankakee, IL. Jeff was the son of

Barbara Tomlinson Tinsley of Ponce Inlet, FL and Kenneth Raymond Tinsley (deceased).

 

Jeff was graduated from Winter Park High School in Winter Park, FL in 1988. 

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia in

1993 and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State

University in 2000.  During his career, Jeff worked in the banking and insurance industries,

ultimately pursuing his interest in technology as a software developer. The twelve years

he spent as a stay-at-home dad was by far his favorite job.  

 

An exceptionally caring and kind man, Jeff was a gentle giant to all who knew him. 

Spending time with family and friends was his favorite past time, and he was an

enthusiastic supporter of his sons' endeavors in sports, music and the performing arts. 

He loved to cheer on the Florida Gators football team and the Cleveland Indians,

laugh heartily at Monty Python and other British humor and discover and share new

music that he enjoyed.

 

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife Betsy, and his sons Will and Ben. 

Jeff is also survived by his mother, Barbara Tinsley; his sister Abby Lenhardt,

husband Henner and their children Carly and Tanner; and by his brother-in-law

Peter Brown, wife Stefanie and their children Alex, Matt and Maggie.

 

 

Services will be held on Monday, January 21st at 3:00 p.m. at Landerhaven,

6111 Landerhaven Drive, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124. In lieu of flowers,

donations may be made to Chagrin Falls Music Lovers, Chagrin Falls, OH.
