We are deeply saddened to share that Joseph Anthony Frank passed away on the
night of January 7th, 2026. Joseph was born on July 18th, 1960, to Joe and Marie Frank
while they were living in Cleveland’s Little Italy. Though he eventually moved away from Little Italy,
Joseph took every oppurtunity he could to return to spend time with his grandparents,
Josephine and Tony Brescia, at their house or the Alta House where Tony was a Boxing Coach.
Joe graduated from Charles F. Brush High School in 1978 and went on to graduate from
Bowling Green State University.
On December 3rd, 1988, Joseph married the love of his life, Elizabeth. Their son Nicholas Anthony
was born on April 15, 1993. Throughout his life Joe was known as many things. Dad, Husband, Son,
Brother, Father-In-Law, Uncle, Coach, Councilman, and of course Movie Quote/Trivia Expert.
He began his baseball coaching journey with Michael Rufo when they were 15 years old.
He continued to coach throughout his life, coaching in Florida before returning to South Euclid
and coaching nearly every one of Nicholas’ baseball teams and running the South Euclid Boys
Baseball League as President for many years. After Nicholas graduated he continued his coaching
career with Villa-Angela St. Joseph, Brush High School, and Cleveland Heights.
Joseph took every oppurtunity to be involved with and give back to the community that he lived in.
He served as a Councilman of the City of South Euclid’s Ward 2 and would rarely miss an oppurtunity
to attend an event and offer his support back to the people of South Euclid.
He leaves behind his wife Elizabeth, son Nick (Shannon), mother Marie (Joe, deceased),
sister Michelle (Tony), brothers Michael (Maria) and Jim "Luke".
Joseph was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews and role model to the kids he coached.
Joseph impacted countless lives during his time on Earth and will be greatly missed by so many.
