We are deeply saddened to share that Patrick John Capuozzo passed away on December 1, 2025.
Born on September 25, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John and Edith (Sivillo) Capuozzo,
Patrick was one of five siblings: Johanna (Dennis Murphy), the late Arthur (Lori),
Charlene, and John (Sue). Patrick and his siblings grew up working in their family’s grocery store,
where his dedication to hard work and his gift for connecting with people took root early. A graduate
of Collinwood High School, he served in the Navy Reserves before attending Eduardo’s Beauty College,
where he met his beloved Donna DeRosa. Patrick and Donna married in 1970 and remained devoted
to each other for more than 55 years. Together they raised five children: Michael (Laura), Robert (Lisa),
Steven (Michael), Angela, and Patrick. Patrick worked as a hairdresser for many years, both working in
and owning several successful salons. Even after retiring from hairdressing, he continued to work—with
Mayfield City Schools and in several local grocery stores—places where he happily remained connected
to the public he loved. His family often joked that Patrick knew everyone, and no matter where they went,
someone would stop him to say hello. His decades of service to the public, paired with his kind and generous spirit,
made him unforgettable to many. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to Christopher, Patrick, Devyn, Dawson,
Daxton, and Austin. A hardworking entrepreneur, a proud family man, and an active member of both his church and the
Italian American Club, Patrick will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness.
The family will receive friends at Holy Redeemer Church, 15712 Kipling Ave., on Friday, December 5, from
10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., followed by a Mass. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
the family suggests donations to Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church.
