RAJENDRA KUMAR MISRA, PhD

Rajendra Kumar Misra passed away peacefully at his home on

July 9, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Alice M. Misra (Lyall),

loving father of Anita Diana Misra-Hebert (Christopher John Hebert),

devoted grandfather of Ryan Kumar Hebert, Benjamin Raj Hebert,

and Kiran Alice Hebert; dearest brother of Munni, Virendra (deceased),

Shyma (deceased), Prema, Krishna, and Sumitra.

Dr. Misra worked as a clinical psychologist until January 2018 with

tireless dedication to his clinical work and life-long passion for learning.

He held previous academic positions in India including at Lucknow University,

Allahabad University, Jodhpur University and the India International Centre

as well as locally at the Northeast Community Mental Health Center, then as

a private consultant, and most recently at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare.

He was an author, of books both in Hindi and English, with expertise in Rorschach testing.

He was recognized for his theory of drug addiction as a reaction to achievement anxiety.

Services 6:30pm Thursday July 12, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at
