Raymond C. Tarantino

Raymond C. Tarantino Sr., 89, of Highland Heights, OH,

passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on

January 1, 2025. Beloved husband of 42 years of

Gina M. Tarantino (née Jakse); beloved father of

Marie Pirozzola (Paul), Raymond Jr., Nicholas (Kristina)

and Vincent (Angela); beloved grandfather of Paul,

Dominic, Lena, Angelo, Vincenzo, Isabella, and Vincent Jr.;

beloved brother of Marie "Dolly" Consolo (Sam, deceased);

and beloved "Uncle Ray" to many generations of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Filomena Tarantino (née Longo) 

and sisters, Antoinette, Anna Campanella (Manrico)  and Carrie Cirino (Jay). Raymond

was born August 31, 1935, in Collinwood, OH. He attended Holy Redeemer School,

graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in 1953, and served in the Army Reserve.

He was a carpenter at Tarantino's Kitchen & Bath and later worked for the

Cuyahoga County Treasurer's Office. Raymond will be remembered for his love of family,

faith, cooking, and gardening. Through memories, his legacy of kindness, generosity,

and family values will last for generations to come. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Monday

January 6, at Holy Redeemer Church (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH); Interment Lake View Cemetery.
